'Dictator' Opening Scene Focuses on General Aladeen's Background Life

the-dictator-poster02 Paramount Pictures has revealed an opening scene of Sacha Baron Cohen's latest comedy film "The Dictator". The video highlights the background story of the zany Wadiya dictator Admiral General Aladeen from the time of his birth to his ascend to be the fictional nation's leader. It also compiles some footage from Barrack Obama's speech about condemning terrorists.

Slated for a May 16 release in the United States, "The Dictator" has Baron Cohen starring as a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. The film is reportedly inspired by the novel "Zabibah and the King" by the late Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Baron Cohen himself has been generating attention through his controversial "Dictator" stunt during this year's Academy Awards ceremony. The British funnyman appeared in full Aladeen costume on the red carpet, and had an infamous "Kim Jong Il's ashes" incident by spilling an urn full of ashes on Ryan Seacrest.

Directed by Larry Charles, the upcoming comedy movie also stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, Megan Fox and Bobby Lee.
