Nearly 150 people are expected at the event estimated to bring in more than $250,000 — a hefty amount considering the amount of the donations are limited by federal law.

Pete Snyder, chairman of the Virginia Victory 2012 campaign, said the event will be the biggest ever in the swing state of Virginia for a Republican presidential challenger.
The fundraiser, which will take place at Snyder’s home, includes nearly two dozen hosts, including state GOP chairman Pat Mullins and major Republican fundraisers Fred and Marlene Malek. Several state legislators are expected as well as Bobbie Kilberg, president and chief executive of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
The invitation refers to packages of up to $20,000, but Snyder said the campaign is also launching an effort to quadruples the number of small donations.
